Biorxiv is a free online archive and distribution service for unpublished preprints in the life sciences. It is operated by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Biorxiv provides a platform for researchers to share their findings with the scientific community prior to peer review and publication in a traditional journal. This allows for rapid dissemination of new research findings and facilitates collaboration among scientists.
